SwimMark

Formerly called swim21, SwimMark accreditation is Swim England’s quality standard for clubs. It recognises high standards of governance, sustainability and effectiveness. Affiliated Swim England clubs can apply for the accreditation, regardless of their size or the disciplines they deliver.

SwimMark is about:

  • • Creating the best possible swimming experience for all
  • • Raising the quality of aquatics provision across all areas
  • • National Sport England Clubmark recognition for great quality clubs

There are three modules that clubs can aspire to: SwimMark Essential Club, SwimMark Network, and SwimMark Performance.

Survive and Save Club is an accredited SwimMark Essential Club

  • • This module for clubs, helps the organisation to achieve good governance, grow membership, develop volunteers and ensure its activities are sustainable and in line with the club's objectives. It is accredited every two years.

Survive and Save Club was one of the very first clubs in the country to become SwimMark (formerly Swim 21) accredited in 2001.

In 2009 Survive and Save Club became the first club in England to achieve ASA Aquamark Premier status, which is was usually only achievable by and awarded to large commercial swim schools.
